Cleaning Your Lures
After a lure has been used in saltwater it should never be placed back into the tackle box with other gear. The salt, heat and lack of air flow in the box will create a corrosive oven that will damage other gear. Instead, place the lures in the bait container or separate box. Take a strip of burlap or other rough cloth and hook your lures. Dunk the strip in a bucket of water with a mild detergent solution. Next, hang the cloth and rinse with your Nomad. Rinse the cloth until the water runs perfectly clear. After that – rinse some more. Nomad’s high capacity tank gives you plenty of water.
Cleaning the Rods
Start by detaching the reels. Adjust the Nomad nozzle to power through the tough stuff, and gently rinse the entire rod.
Cleaning the Reels
Read the manufacturer’s instructions. Most reels have multiple parts that need disassembled, cleaned and lubricated.
One Last Tip: Don’t Wait to Clean Your Gear
With Nomad, you can clean your gear on the spot. The longer you wait, the greater the risk of damage from the sand and salt.
